Why ATE
Built different. Built right here in Columbus.
We're not a drop-off bin. We're a Columbus-grown nonprofit with 5 years of operations, SWACO backing, and a mission that goes beyond recycling.
SWACO Grant Recipient
The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio awarded ATE a grant to pursue R2v3 certification — the most rigorous standard in electronics recycling. This is the institutional trust you can count on.
Tax-Deductible Donation
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, ATE provides tax-deductible receipts for qualifying donated equipment. Good for your community and your accounting team.
Certified Data Sanitization
Every device is handled with a documented chain of custody. You receive a certificate of data destruction — HIPAA and FACTA compliant for healthcare and financial clients.
Zero Landfill Policy
Every device is either refurbished and donated, or responsibly recycled. Nothing we collect from Central Ohio ends up in a landfill — guaranteed.
Workforce Development Mission
Founded in 2019 as an IT training organization, ATE trains immigrants, refugees, and underserved Ohioans in technology careers. Your donation directly supports that mission.
Local & Community-First
Every device stays in Central Ohio's ecosystem — refurbished for Franklin County students, job seekers, and families in need.
"We are not just preparing individuals for the workforce — we are equipping the architects of a cleaner, smarter, and more equitable world. By integrating environmental stewardship with high-level technical training, we are solving two challenges at once: bridging the digital divide and reducing the environmental footprint of the industry we are so proud to be a part of."
