Testimony

Rukiya Warsame

"Before I come to ATEC, I work at a camp, helping people talk to each other. Then, I move to Columbus and work at Gap, packing boxes. It was hard, but I always want to do something with computers. When I join ATEC, everything changes. I start from the beginning, learning computers step by step. It was more than just getting skills; it changed my life. It made me love technology again and gave me hope for a better future. The teachers at ATEC helped me believe in myself and be strong. Now, I fix computers, and I know with good training and hard work, I can do anything"_Rukiya

Dina Hamid

" Before ATE, I was struggling. I didn’t finish high school and got married, but life was hard. I became a single mom and had to fight in court for my son. I worked in a daycare and as a saleswoman to take care of us. Then I found ATE, and everything changed. The people there were more than teachers—they were like family. They helped me finish my GED and learn about computers. I even got my IT certification! Now, I’m back in my home country, teaching IT and close to my family. ATE gave me the strength to build a better life "_ Dina

Lounis Hamidouche

"Before ATE, I was driving for Uber, but I wasn’t happy. I knew I could do more, but I didn’t know how to change. Then I found ATE, and it turned everything around for me. The IT program was my way out; it gave me the skills and confidence I needed. The teachers helped me so much, even fixing my resume. After finishing the program, I got my first IT job, and that was a big moment for me. Now, I’m working as an IT Field Technician at Columbus City Schools. ATE helped me see it’s never too late to chase your true potential"_ Lounis

Mariam Amri

"Before ATE, I was a lawyer in Algeria, but after moving to the US, I needed a new path to support my family. Without IT experience, finding a good job was difficult. But discovering ATE changed everything. I worked hard, learned so much, and my internship was a turning point—it gave me the confidence and real-world experience I needed. The support and education at ATE were incredible. They didn’t just teach me IT skills; they gave me a new purpose and direction. Now, I have a tech job that I love, and I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunities ATE has given me and my family"_Meriam

Mohand Bousekine

"Before ATE, I worked as an assembler at Stanley Electric, but I felt unfulfilled and knew I needed a change. As a new immigrant to the US and a father of three, I was determined to create a better life for my family. Discovering ATE was a turning point for me. The comprehensive training and supportive environment gave me the skills and confidence to advance. After graduating, I was promoted to a Technician role at Stanley Electric, but my aspirations didn’t stop there. Thanks to the expertise and confidence gained from ATE, I secured my dream job at IBEW 683 Union. ATE didn’t just help me find a job; it helped me achieve my American dream. I now share my story to inspire other immigrants to pursue their dreams through ATE. It truly transformed my life." — Mohand
